My name is Kaitlin and I’m your outdoors loving bff and biggest encourager of connecting with God and His creation.
This website has been on my heart since last year and to see it come to life has been a beautiful, but difficult journey!
As my first post on my new website, I wanted to talk about this ministry and why it’s called “Close to Creation”.
One of the biggest reasons I started Close to Creation is because I’ve always had a passion for being outside and traveling around to see all the beauty this world has to offer. From the coast of Malta to the mountains of Montana, I’ve been able to see some amazing places in my 23 years on this earth.
Through my traveling experiences and growing more in my faith, I’ve realized the importance of how nature connects us to God, our Creator.
In a world that is constantly seeking scientific improvement and advancement (which is amazing!), I believe it’s more important than ever that people are guided back to the One who created it all.
My vision for Close to Creation is to create a space that inspires people to not only get outside and enjoy the beautiful world we get to live in, but also to grow in their faith.
I want this to be a space where faith and travel meet.
I will say that even though this website is launching today, it’s still a major work in progress! Right now, the categories may be empty, but I can’t wait to watch them fill up with what God has put on my heart to write about.
This includes things like my travel experiences, what I’m learning in my faith, jaw dropping destinations, photography, and more!
I have no idea what God will do through this platform, but I pray that it will help guide anyone who reads it back to Him.
So, I guess there’s only one thing left to say… Let’s get close to creation!
