Captivating. Majestic. Glorious. Wondrous.
Nature reflects the beauty, majesty, and splendor of the One who created it, so it’s only natural it would be described as such.
As we view the world around us, we consider it through the eyes of a desire to discover its hidden glories. The glories that we know as believers point back to something much bigger. Or rather, Someone.
Every crack and crevice of this world holds its own unique beauty. There is not a single tree, river, rock, or landscape that directly mirrors another. Each one has been intricately carved out by the Creator of the Universe.
With a single sentence, He spoke the magnificence of this universe into existence. A magnificence that continues to mold, shape, and leave us utterly breathless. An earthly kingdom that reflects its King.
The other day, this thought crossed my mind: Will there ever be a day when humans have covered every square mile of the earth? From the depths of the deep blue ocean to the highest mountain peaks?
It may seem impossible for humans to traverse the endless open of the planet we call home on this side of heaven, but I know Someone who has.
The Creator of the universe knows the ins and outs of His creation. He knows every bird that falls from the sky and provides for the countless indescribable landscapes that scatter its surface.
So as we gaze upon the majestic mountains, the unfathomable vastness of the plains, and hear the roar of mighty rivers, let us remember what we are actually getting a glimpse of – the splendor and faithfulness of God.
